Beach Babes & Ducks

This weekend my family and I headed to Sunset beach for a little R&R. After the 4 hour drive, we arrived at our little condo to find a friend waiting for us.
Meet Rudolfo the red (billed) duck. We named him after he followed us up two flights of stairs, all the way to our condo door.
Now, this kinda freaked me out because geese give me the heeby-jeebies. I was attacked by a big white duck when I was young and ever since they rate a little high on my creepy scale. After pecking at our door for a few minutes, he left us a little present on our door step and then left. We had to avoid stepping in the duck poop on our front stoop for the next few days. Ha
The rest of the beach trip was filled with quality lay-on-the-beach time with my Mom, Mickey, Zach, Grams and Bob. At night, we did what any good beach-goer does and sought out seafood.
It’s obvious the girls’ favorite color is orange/coral…check out our {unintended} matching outfits
And the next night, everyone wore blue and white! Are we coordinated or what?!
When it was time to head back home, guess who showed up? Well, not Rudolfo. But his brother Alfonso.
So Mickey and my Mom befriended him with a few pieces of pizza crust and led him back to his pond, so he could be a little beach babe, too.
Have a fantastic Monday!
xoxo,
Kath

Haha those ducks are too cute! I’m sure you racked up some critter counting points on that trip
