May Foodie Pen Pal: A Little Foodie Treasure Chest!

With graduation done and plenty of interviews underway, May has flown by. So you know what that means…

It’s time for my May Foodie Pen Pal reveal :D This month Alex at Healthy Life Happy Wife sent me the BEST foodie package–filled with little healthy treats and foodie treasures.

Case-in-point:

just ignore the nail polish I tested out on my thumb…

Have you ever had Snapea Crisps?! Their baked green goodness is salty-delicious-addicting. Yes, I did just make that up :)

My package also included some nutritional yeast, chia seeds (used for my Strawberry Chia Seed Jam!) and lots of little pots of honey. As well as a neat wheat grass shot I am excited to try and some seaweed treats.

I have to admit, the seaweed snack intrigues me…in a “holy moly is that going to taste delish…or like a mouthful of seaweed?!” kinda way. I’ll let you know how they go!

I also got a neat mix of new-to-me treats: Raw Revolution protein bar and Energy Jelly Beans. I am itching to gobble up some of the jelly beans before my next long run! I also got some of my favorite flavors of Larabars. I actually munched on the Chocolate Cherry Torte Larabar today in between my two interviews in Raleigh. YUM!

And finally, Alex included two small Kinder bars–it’s a German chocolate I actually discovered while I was in Italy last summer. Chocolate + Italy memories = one happy Nut.

Alex, you were an AMAZING foodie pen pal! Thank you so much for all the wonderful goodies!

Check out Deb at Deb’s Daily Life  to see the treats in the  foodie package I sent. Deb’s weight loss journey is inspiring and has been a joy to read! You don’t have to be a blogger to join the Foodie Pen Pal Program–anyone can do it. I’ve loved my pen pals, so if you are interested in joining you can sign up with Lindsay at The Lean Green Bean!

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Love,

Kath

What a great package of items! The wheat grass thing sounds fun, and I love kinder! My husband grew up in Germany and loves it.

Glad you liked everything!! & as for the seaweed snack, I don’t really like the original flavor (too fishy for me) but the wasabi ones are tasty! Hope you like them!!

I’m a tad obsessed with the kinder bar because I actually had a pet bird named kinder. When I was little my parents adopted it from my kindergarten teacher who had two birds, one named kinder and the other garten. Once she couldn’t take care of them, we decided to adopted kinder!

I LOVE seaweed snacks! Seriously, I can go through a whole lot of it in at a time. I grew up eating it so maybe that’s part of it but it’s also salty and crunchy and much better for me than the chips I would otherwise eat :-)
