Ready for the Week

This weekend I tried to focus on prepping for this week because I have plenty on my to do list. I have a few phone and in-person interviews coming up, and today I begin my first swim lessons of the summer! :) A few years back I decided to break away from my life guarding job and develop my own swim lesson program. It’s been successful for 4 years now–there is nothing better than working with cute kids!

So yesterday I went shopping-crazy. The kind of shopping where you fly through the aisles like a mad woman because you only have an hour to do everything on your to-do list before your brother’s championship soccer game starts. So I hit up Target first for lots of sunscreen. And happened to find some cute thank you cards for graduation and an excellent Essie color while I was there :)

Next was Trader Joe’s. I needed some healthy snacks for the week–especially because today starts my 100 mile challenge to get beach-ready!

and I had just enough time to run into Loft and jump on the colored skinny jean bandwagon. When I shop, I normally tend to buy anything and everything I think I like. And then I get some sense knocked into me (after the shopping bag stares at me from the corner of my room—and I think about the damage to my savings account) and return the majority of it the next day. I’ll let you know how these jeans hold up :)

thanks mama for helping me pick these out!

After Zach’s soccer team kicked butt during the tournament, my family went to Ghengis Grill for dinner. It’s a Mongolian-style grill with a buffet line where you pick all the meat, veggies and sauce you want and then the chefs cook it up on a large, open grill in the middle of the restaurant. I made sure to load up on shrimp and broccoli and had it mixed with some brown rice. YUM.

And afterwards, I may or may not have come back to my house and consumed a large portion of the cinnamon bread I baked Saturaday morning.

Pillsbury Quick bread cinnamon bread. It’s not healthy. But it’s to die for. And yes, I ate it straight from the pan. With a giant fork. :)….it’s definitely time to get back to running.

Well I’m off to babysit and do some lessons. Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

xoxox,

Kath
